Planned Maintenance – Network core router from Data Centre

We will be switching our data centre network connectivity over to our backup network route between 17:00 – 18:00 on 24/01/2022.

This work should not cause any downtime or reduction in performance but the web and email hosting network should be considered at risk during this work. Connectivity products are unaffected.

The reason for this work is because the network supplier will be upgrading the primary core router from 20:00 which will require a number of reboots which would cause a loss of connectivity. Although our system would automatically fail over to the back-up network in the case where there is a loss of connectivity, we think it best to preemptively switch the network over in a controlled manner before the work starts.
