Due to unforeseen circumstances, we are migrating all of our servers to a new data centre on an emergency basis.
As part of the migration, the IP address your domain is hosted on will change.

As you manage the DNS for your domains yourself, then you will need to change the IP address for each of the domains on the server in the DNS once the migration is completed.
In preparation we suggest you change the Time To Live (TTL) value in the DNS to a low value of 5 minutes and you do that asap. The lower TTL value will minimise any disruption caused by DNS record caching. This change should be made in the DNS control panel for your domain. (Not on your swift server) If we manage the DNS for your domains, then we will reduce the TTL automatically and you do not need to take any action.
We will send a further email on the day when the migration is started and again once the migration is completed.
Please be assured that the servers and IP addresses will remain UK based after the migration and no data will either be stored or transmitted outside the UK, which is important for GDPR. There will be a small amount of unavoidable down time as part of the migration process.
This will happen at the final stages of the migration. The exact amount of downtime, and time is difficult to predict as many factors play a part, but we expect any downtime to be in the order of minutes rather than hours.
