Engineer is currently on site working to resolve this fault. The ETA is currently 11:00 AM.
We can confirm that the problem has been caused by theft of equipment from the data centre within Stepney Green. Both BT equipment and other network providers equipment. An engineer has been on site for some time and further engineers are en-route with replacement hardware. The engineers are however unable to install the replacements until the police have attended site. Naturally we apologise for the problems that connected customers are experiencing and wish to reassure you that we will restore services as soon as possible.
Scenes of Crimes Officers have now attended site and the Police have confirmed that engineers are able to access site to replace the equipment. It is expected that this process may take slightly longer than usual as severe damage has been caused to various cables, including fibre optic cables during the incident. Service will however be restored as soon as possible.
Although we don’t yet have confirmation that the problem is resolved, we can see that the equipment is on-line, and that affected users are reconnecting. If you still have no ADSL connection, please power your router off/on to regain your connection.
The problem has been resolved now.
