[ADSL] Broadband Issues 22/02/2012

We experienced an issue with the ADSL network on 22/02/2012 starting at 11:30am which was resolved at 11:55am. The issue caused sporadic connections to websites.
An issue was identified with a router, and so data is currently being routed over an alternate path.

[Resolved]Plesk Control Panel access has been blocked

Due to the emergency upgrade announced previously we had to block the Control Panel access.

While the servers will be upgraded we will allow the access to the control panel. This affects all servers in our network. Both shared hosting and private VPS servers.

    The control panel access to all of our shared hosting servers have been granted.

    Control panel upgrades have now been completed and access to the Plesk control panel on all servers has now been restored.

[Planned maintenance] Server Control Panel Updates

We will be be applying an emergency update to all our Linux and Windows Plesk servers throughout the day. No downtime of services is expected although all systems should be considered ‘at risk’ throughout this process.

Secure payment server.

We have moved our secure payment server known as swift3.swiftinter.net to a different system.
The server has been given a new IP address. The IP address is 62.249.245.229 and it is also known secure.swiftinter.net.
All secure payment gateways are fully operational. No changes need to be made on the customers sites.

[Resolved] [ADSL] MSO Sheffield Node

We are currently aware of a Major Service Outage on BT’s network which is affecting a number of 20cn based DSL connections connected to the SHEFFIELD node.

BT are currently working to resolve this issue, however no time has been announced as of yet.

Further updates will be posted as the information is received from BT.

    This issue is now resolved.

    At 10:53 BT experienced difficulties with hardware in the Sheffield node which affected 20cn DSL users in the surrounding area.

    The difficulty was as a result of faulty card impacting routing across multiple devices.

    Service has been restored as of 12:21pm by completing a remote reset of hardware.

[Resolved] [ADSL] DSL Instability

We are aware of a problem with a number of xDSL sessions becoming unstable and dropping offline.

Engineers are currently investigating and further updates will be provided when they become available.

    xDSL connectivity appears to have stabilised shortly after the initial notification.
    Engineers are continuing to monitor and are investigating the underlying cause of this event.

We have just noticed some problems with our telephony exchange system. We have been in touch with our provider and they confirmed an issue on their end. Their engineers are looking into this problem now.

    Our supplier advised that estimated time of resolution is 12:00.

Necessary maintenance is being scheduled for Sunday 26/06/2011 10PM on the hardware node where swift83.swiftinter.net (former swift50.swiftinter.net) is hosted on. Downtime shouldn’t be longer than 10 minutes.
